… like-minded professional Actors, Dancers, Musicians, Designers – Theatre Practitioners – who celebrate the fun of imagining and pretending, and who want to use our professional skills to nurture the next few generations of children, toddlers, and babies.
Yes even babies! Little Tykes Theatre started out in 2007 as an answer to a very real need for quality and fun workshops and parent-child classes for the under-3-year-olds in Paris. Our Camps and Workshops use games to present simplified forms of professional mime and actor training to the children. Movement, rhythm, music, and visual and tactile aids are woven into stories that the children bring to life as they learn to move as different characters in fantastical worlds. There will be work presentations at the end of all our camps by the Little Tykes, who would love it if parents and friends come play The Audience…
At the end of 2013, Little Tykes Theatre officially set up as a non-profit organisation under the “Association Loi de 1901”. Our long term goal has always been to also produce quality theatre performances for very young audiences. And so finally, we add to our great ambitions, Theatre Performances for the Early Years.
The Team at Little Tykes Theatre is currently made up of Pied Pipers who lead our Camps and Workshops, and the Schemers who concoct ideas for shows and perform them.
